Those with 1–11 months receive a prorated amount: (months worked ÷ 12) × monthly salary. THR must be paid at least 7 days before the religious holiday.

What is THR?

Who is entitled to THR?
All formal workers (PKWT and PKWTT) who have worked for at least 1 month are entitled to THR. Workers with 12+ months get 1 full month's salary. Those with 1–11 months get a prorated amount.
When must THR be paid?
At least 7 days before the religious holiday (Lebaran for Muslims, Christmas for Christians, etc.). Employers who fail to pay THR on time face a 5% penalty on top of the outstanding amount.
Does THR include allowances?
The basis for THR calculation depends on the employment contract. For monthly-salary employees it is typically the basic salary (gaji pokok). Some employers include fixed allowances — check your employment agreement.
